Hate to break it to you but your 800m times are really poor compared to your 1630, which makes me think you're not really a miler. A 4:43 mile is roughly equivalent to a high 16s time, which shows that you improved this fall compared to this spring, but not dramatically so. I would say you can probably get into the low 4:30s, maybe even the high 4:20s.
Unless there is something really screwy with your training. But sounds like you improved from 1831 to 1630 on the back of some serious mileage, as opposed to any physical development, seeing as how your 800m time is static.
Good analysis, I agree in about everything.
@OP- Make sure you're running strides 2-3 times a week after your easy runs during your build-up of base mileage, and as the season progresses they should still be in your training program but not as important.

Agree with the ~4:30 guess. Also give the 3200m a try, you should be maybe 9:45-9:55.
