Here's some background info: last spring was my first track season, and I wanted to catch up to my friends in xc season. I started my base training 4 days after my last race anddddddd it seems now that it was a mistake. In xc I started off a lot faster than I was in track, but then I never improved in a 6 week period. I ran the same course for the last week as I did 6 weeks ago, and I ran the exact same time. Did jumping into summer training so early cause me to trash the end of my first xc season and peak so early? How would've 2-4 weeks off of training after last track season affect me this season if I had done that?
