I am a hs junior and am running track for the first time. My freshman and sophomore years I only ran xc and swam the rest of the year but this year I quit swimming and am running full time. After running a half a$$ed season (PR of 17:20), I have no idea what to do for my base miles going into track. I will probably be running 2 mile but I have no idea how much I should be running until our practices start again in January. I am willing to run whatever I need to, but I have no idea how much or how long I should be running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
