Was she driving on the grass?
Thursday night doubles?
You must not run or have never seen runners. Time to get up off the couch and peer outside.
Does anybody have any more information on this than what is in the article? Exact location, circumstances, updates on the team, etc.?
Pathetic what reporting has become nowadays.

Been running for 36 years and never been close to getting hit by a car.
I bet they were running in the street like they owned the road. Why?? My teams in HS & especially in college were always getting in traffic's way. Can't believe both teams were so different than the rest.
This Lehigh alum offers best wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured runners.

It is not much of a reach to think that in 2015 your odds are much greater. Anyone have odds on whether the driver was texting?

Not sure why you felt compelled to inform everyone of that, but congratulations and I hope you remain lucky enough to avoid accidents the rest of your life as well.
Thanks a bunch Lehigh!
Unfortunately, there's way more traffic out there than in the good old days. Also, there isn't much shoulder on most of the roads. We used to get away with running 2 abreast and running with the traffic!
On behalf of the program, we thank everyone for the well wishes and the support. I have received many emails, calls and texts from all around the east coast from various coaches and athletes. We have been instructed to not give out details on social media by our general counsel, but I can say that thankfully there were no fatalities and permanent injuries and all 4 men are recovering nicely. 2 are back to running and the 2 others will need another week or 2. A very tough thursday night emotionally.
glad to hear they will recover coach. We better hear about the charges forthcoming against the driver b/c stuff like this is total and utter bullcrap. Doesn't matter "why," the fact is that is distracted driving, every single time! Driving a vehicle is operating a deadly weapon, which needs to be treated as such.
I remember hearing a story about the Cal Poly distance men out for a run one day when a lady pulled out of intersection AFTER they were already in the intersection. One kid steepled up on her hood (he would have been knocked in his @$$ otherwise) and several others swerved and slapped her hood, yelling at her. Despite her culpability, she has the nerve to report them to the cops. Terry Crawford (this was back when she was still destroying CP T&F) made the kids go apologize to the driver. WTF???? high time for drivers to take some responsibility for ensuring safety of ALL, not just their own.
I've been running a lot of years, and the couple of times I've ended up on the hood of a car (never been seriously hurt, thank God) it was my own damn fault. I was either assuming they saw me or too caught up in doing my workout to slow down or go around.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
