Andrews 6th, but will get a fastest loser spot. All 3 Americans in the final!
Kiprop can't lose this unless he falls
I wish Makhloufi would hurry and test positive.
Grice through. Can't wait for the final - can't see anyone beating Kiprop though.

He's Algerian isn't he?
They should just skip the test and ban him
Robby Mf andrews.
If that guy gets himself in a decent position in the final. Oh my. Lots of confidence on the universal interview.
I am so used to seeing Robby kick people down that it is a bit disheartening when he opens up and only moves up on the field a little bit. Everyone at this level can hit that high gear so if he is going to roll people down he needs to do something really special. Great to see all six of the 1500m and 5000m boys get through the rounds though!
When you watch Pre, Stanford, and Mt. Sac it is obvious that the US is super deep at mid-distance and distance, but to see that come through at Worlds is always great. Now we just need all six of those guys to put themselves in a place where they could medal if they have the race of their life, and then maybe one of them will.
will depend on which Kiprop turns up for the final. Could be 1st or 10th

Russian race walker Yargunkin (the only one coming) was in plane to Beijing when he heard he tested positive for EPO.

Manzano FIFTH. by .03.
Kiprop looked great. Kiplagat too. Willis moved up from like 7th with 200 to go to get 3rd. Centro 4th Manzano 5th.
Willis had the fastest finish by far 37.7. A second faster than anyone else.
Tianna Bartoletta is leading the long jump!
You might as well have lined them up over 200 metres. Basically sprint speed is always going to matter. Chris made the right move at the right time, Charlie ran a superb race. It's high speed chess, the 1,500m, always figuring out what's going on five strides down the track, particularly when you're in traffic. This is the world of difference between a one-day meet and having to think your way through the rounds.

Shhh! Don't mention the blood data or doping
Makhloufi has no more chance of testing positive than Centro does. He doesn't even train in Algeria anymore I'm pretty sure. Anyway, Centro is the one with all the acne.

The 10th place Kiprop doesn't really exist anymore.
Put him last with 400 to go and he'd still would likely medal.
The question for the final is whether the 4th Kenyan Tim Cheruiyot sacrifices himself and makes it a fast pace for Kiprop and Kiplagat.
Robby Andrews came through the mixed zone with ice on the back of his neck and didn't speak because of fatigue. They said he will try and come too back so it does not appear to be too bad, but he definitely was tired.
Meanwhile the Brit, Charlie Grice came through where an ice vest. Someone should have given Robby one.

It's a shame but I don't think that he'll be a factor at all in the final. A 3:36 for the other qualifiers isn't very fast but Andrews' PB is only 3:34. He's just not there yet as a 1500m runner. I think by Rio he will be considerably better but for now, he's going to have to be happy with making the final.
Eaton 45.00 400!
Holy sh$t Ashton Eaton just ran 45.00!!!
eaton 45.00
that man is unreal
