The US curse continues; Harper Nelson crashes out of the 100h in the semis
Wow. Shocker in the first heat of the women's 100 hurdles.
On this track 7 years ago, Harper-Nelson benefitted from Lolo Jones fall and won gold. Tonight, Harper-Nelson goes down.
Wow.
And that helps me as Jon Gault had her for gold in the prediction contest (i'm obsessed with beating him).
3 of the top 4 set PBs in heat 1.

The LRC crew is relaxed after skipping the morning session and having a nice Duck lunch and running into the Track and Field News crew at a brew pup after.

Should be exciting.
Random tidbit, we bumped into a woman in the middle of Beijing today, had no idea who she was but googled it when we got home. Jesse Owens daughter.
Frankie Fredericks presents the men's Sprint medals yet again
I guess there isn't too many other options left
Jeneke doing her warm up dance, very nice
Kendra Harrison looks to have false started in heat 2 but it is taking a long time to DQ her.
Here they go. She has been given the red card.
Not good for US. They could have swept this event and now may end up with no medals.
Tiffany Porter won heat 2 and was born in the US.
US has 3 runners in the final as Brianna Rollins won heat #3. Sharika Nelvis has a faster time in heat #1 finishing 2nd and the 3rd US runners, Tiffany Porter represents Great Britain.
US still could get 2 medals despite 2 of its best not making final.
This should be a good 1500 semi
Brianna Rollins blue lipstick is awesome!
They don't introduce everyone but Centro, gets introduced.
This heat is tougher than #2.
Kiprop, Kiplagat, Manzano, Willis, Centro
Top 5 advance.
Gun if off, Kiprop too last.
64.6 1st 400 so looks like only 5 will advance from this heat unless it starts going soon.
Top 7 should make it from 2nd heat.
Kiprop now move up to lead 500 in.
208.8
Willis and Centro through to the finals....
Wow. OHare went from 3 to 8 at the alst 2nd.
Manzano FIFTH. by .03.
Kiprop looked great. Kiplagat too. Willis moved up from like 7th with 200 to go to get 3rd. Centro 4th Manzano 5th.
Centro into finals, and Leo just made it!!!
And Manzano fifth in first heat!
Real shame for Chris O'Hare, things changing very rapidly in the last few metres.
That first semi was stacked. Centro looked great and may well medal. Same with Willis.
