MileSplits official Varsity Boys - Overall formatted results for the 2022 SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational, hosted by Bolivar High School in Bolivar MO.
Carmel is still a lock to win this region is their 1-5 are on.
Center Grove is vulnerable if Ty Garrett doesn’t return. They’ve been sitting out some of their other varsity guys too, and losing to a handful of Indiana teams
For the South Boys - I would’ve put Coppell over Vandegrift at 5
Well, vandegrift almost beat atascocita and the woodlands last week, and their 4-5 gap was large because they were missing one of their top 5 (Schinck). If he raced, vandegrift would have beaten bith teams
But agree Coppell could challenge the woodlands. I would keep Vandegrift out for now until Schick returns. Who knows when he will get his fitness back. These rankings should be done based on actual performances not what ifs

DyeStat's national and regional team rankings will alternate during each week of the season. The individual rankings will drop every other week on the same day as the regional team rankings.
Niwot boys at second? That’s news. I doubt they will even qualify this year after losing Bergen and Hendershot. If only they raced at Liberty bell against all those other top Colorado teams. Idk if they even have a front runner this year. They do have depth through 7 and beyond but no low stick. Crater is probably too young to be up there. Not sure if they will make NXN this year. They will be up against Rocky Mountain ID (which will surprise a lot of people this year) and Bishop Blanchet with everyone healthy (they have their top guys injured and the rest of the team is not looking as well as we thought). Jesuit LA is ranked way too low. They have depth through 8 at least and nice 3200 times. Woodbridge is gonna fix so many of these rankings. Clovis and Madera South will surprise some people. I think Plainfield South is a little better than Hinsdale Central. Mountain View lost to Corner Canyon.
The Saratoga girls team has 5 really good girls back from last year and another stud 8th grader, but, not to say that they should not be #1, they are vulnerable this year. They almost got beat by FM NY. I think FM is better than these rankings show actually. Wouldn’t be surprised if Buchanan wins nationals this year. I’m not sure if Newbury Park girls team is 14th best. They might not make NXN this year. They lost McDonnell and 2 other scorers. They did pick up a good freshman though. They need to put together 5 really good performances and have everyone healthy. Spaulding didn’t race last meet and is not running at Woodbridge. She didn’t even do track last spring. So that makes a big 4-5 gap on the team. But with only one senior, NP looks good for next year. Seems that they got a nice freshman class outside of Grant.
I saw some issues with those rankings but held myself back. They are still using a lot of results from last year I am sure. Significant changes will happen for the next one I am sure.
I agree with you on Buchanan girls, I could see them being the best in the country.

Prior to the Lowell Invitational Granite Bay was ranked ahead of Los Altos in the girls ranking. Newest USA top 40 Lis Altos is ranked ahead of Granite Bay. So I say ranking are from current races.
By the way that team from California’s Central Coast Section is starting to get recognized.

If they were just current races then Granite Bay wouldn't be on there at all.

Granite Bay didn’t run their #1 at the Lowell Invitational. So I’m pretty sure they’re taking that in to consideration.

and she ran their first meet and they got third. Everyone has people out but that would be talking about last season's results and not just based on this year.
The boys south teams seem a little off. I would put more Texas teams on this list, and I don’t think The Woodlands should be that high. They almost lost to Vandegrift, and Coppell seems to be right there with them

Could also be that all of those teams should be ranked, and Atascocita as well
Aidan cox 6th? He barely did anything in track. He ran one XC meet and his time wasn’t that fast. Wischusen’s team raced once but he himself did not. Not sure if he should stay in the top 10. everyone that beat Aaron S at Woodbridge should be ranked ahead of him.
Boys Regional Rankings - 9/22/2022By Doug Binder, DyeStat EditorLast weekend's Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. provided a big reveal for the quality of pack at Jesuit of New Orleans, which split 26 seconds on five score...
They got crushed by another IL team they didn’t consider putting in there. Plainfield south is clearly the #2 team in mw and #1 in IL based on results.
Niwot co should not be in the top 5 for Southwest boys Griak should change the heartland rankings tomorrow
McGinn should not be in these rankings. The 194 speed rating is a complete joke. Yesterday he lost to a teammate that shouldn’t be considered for a top 30. Issa and one of the Herriman guys (Jenkins) should definitely be in there. Issa was right behind Tostenson, and Jenkins was right behind Aaron S.
