Tuka is this year's Makhloufi. Doped beyond belief, certain to win the gold.

Pretty much this
Since I can't second this, I'll third it.
Correct decision.
He didn't really try to pass on the inside, Kupers died on the inside and it looked like Aman just gave a slight shove to prevent a hard collision. Kupers filed a protest, just to spite Aman it seems. Completely ridiculous. Kupers wasn't even slightely hindered in any way by the push.
Track 101, don't try to pass on the rail. Aman got lazy. He could have gotten out of the box but he tried to stay inside and pass on rail. He deserves to be dq'd

Kupers was not only slowing down, he was drifting INSIDE. There should be penalties for not running in a straight line.......particularly in the home straight.
How say u?
Kupers was clearly impeding, intentionally or not, by suddenly heading backwards into Aman. Aman did the right thing, a light shove to the shoulder, to prevent a collision that would likely have tripped them both.
The only alternative would have been to suddenly slow down himself, passing the problem on to the runner behind him and potentially causing an even bigger pileup. As it turned out, nobody tripped, and only Aman's position was compromised. Kupers finished dead last as he was already going to.
Less than 200m to go and Aman is in 4th on the rail. Deserves not to make the final. Only 2 runners qualify automatically so he placed himself poorly and couldn't control his own fate down the straight. No DQ for the push was warranted though. I've seen far worse in an 800m race and nobody fell.

That video omits the part where Aman SHOVES the guy in front of him. Makes it look like he is just stumbling.

Dq is right. Fading or not, kupers had the inside lane and aman shouldn't have shoved him or passed on the inside. As for amos, he should have responded faster to the jump I pace from 300m out at should have tried to stay in at least third the entire last lap. After the russian boxed him in and bumped him amos moved too hard and too early from 160 out and looks like he wasted energy. He should have just hung in there and blasted the last 75.
What is dumbfounding to me is how the whole field in Rudishas race let him lead and dictate the whole race going through in 54
Of course I know why - he is WR holder, makes a case for the best ever and therefore this is part of the deal when it comes to how his competitors race him.
But letting him have his way going through in 54? 49 flat I understand but 54?! Surely if you are Amos or any other contender you don't even WANT this guy lining up in the final and you know his weakness - running surrounded in a pack without clear track in front of him. Why on earth you don't plant yourself in the front of the race and let D.R deal with the traffic behind you I just don't get.
Ironically what Amos should have done and should have wanted to happen to Rudisha ended up perfectly executed on him.
Perfect example of why in the mens 800m, the toughest event in track, he who hesitates is lost. Stupid, amateurish race by Amos,
As for Aman - he deserves to be out - another guy who put himself in a dumb position - criminal for a now former world champion.
Amel Tuka I have a feeling has the poise and strength in the final to beat Rudisha who I have feeling will lead the final in 51-52 which will play right into Tukas hands. Of course not for a second do I personally believe the Amel Tuka "fairytale" - if he goes from 1.46.1 runner to World Champ in a season it's the most farcical performance in the World Championships this year.
the 800 is a bit of a disaster.three good guys in aman, amos, symonds are out.two guys are out entirely due to man's errors.and you have a giant red flag guy in Tuka being a favorite to win.however, it appears Tuka has real talent however being able to run 50 seconds in flats without training as a teenager. .

Bosse is the only one in the final from the 2013 final (due to Aman's DQ)
Rudisha is the only one from the Oly '12 final.
Tough event.
I have to agree. Reading what others wrote I expected to see Aman blatantly foul. Watching over and over I see Kupers runs wide most of the race, is on the outside of late 1 after trying to vie for the lead, and then drifts back to the inside when that fails, but right into Aman after leaving him space to get by. Aman had already started his move, given the gap was there a long long time, and the racing incident occurs. He pushes Kupers enough they can both stay up, not to foil Kupers, but to keep Kupers from crashing into him. Bad call in my mind, though I can see why it was made. As Rojo said, if really impeded, Kupers should be added to the final. Watch a few times and see Kupers move back in after an effort to pass. Equal blame.
Looks like Amos ran out of juice and gas. Maybe he should ask Tuka about his supplier. Good Italian sh!t whatever it is.
Aman has had a terrible year anyway, not like it matters.
He should get away from OTC, seemed to mess up whatever he had going

I have no idea about why he was disqualified either, such a shame.
Well, then you either didn't watch the race or are an idiot.
He tried to pass on the inside with insufficient space and shoved a runner aside. That is always a DQ.

Haha, if this was the other way around you'd be calling for the Dutch guy to be given a 4 year ban.
Very similar to when Rodriguez got a DQ in the women's 1500 for shoving an Ethiopian, everybody on here was adamant that that was a fair decision.
If it was the other way around, the Dutch guy would have flattened Aman, it's only cause Aman is pretty puny that he came off worse.
True. Yanks are PC-whipped.
Aman screwed up. And in point of fact, Ethiopians and Kenyans are used to being able to shove people and get away with it most of the time, like Merga.
