Heat 2 just ended and Nijel Amos ended up 3rd and there is no way he'll make the final as his semi was super slow. David Rudisha won the heat. Amos just faltered the last few meters and ended up .03 behind 2nd.

Takes some of the luster off the final, but proves the hardest distance event to make the final in is the 800 as the semis are brutal with only 2 auto qualifiers.
