Your definition of "nice" is amusing; you're spending thousands to gut an old Prelude (a perfectly fine car in stock form) and turn it into something that will probably still get outhandled and outrun by a $21K WRX.
I'm not an expert on the JDM Skyline, but I thought much of its appeal was based on its RWD platform and front midship engine placement, giving excellent weight distribution. Does the Prelude share these characteristics? No. Does the Skyline engine weigh more than the stock engine? Probably. So you are making a FWD car even more front-heavy, and even more prone to understeer. And how much does the exhaust/muffler system really add to performance? Let me guess: it sounds cool.
Again, you're not fooling anyone. A few people (the FATF crowd) will admire what you've done, but most of us will laugh at you for wasting your hard-earned money pimping out a car. Eventually, you will look back on this phase of your life like you would a bad yearbook picture. Except you've wasted tons of cash, whereas the bad yearbook photo was free.
Finally, do a search on ebay for wrx, prelude, civic si, or any other car commonly tricked out. See how people "invest" tens of thousands into their cars, run out of money, and turn around to sell these monstrosities for a fraction of their "value." These modifications adversely affect every day driveability and reliability. Nobody is impressed.
I'm right. You'll see.
