How is the WCC looking this year? Continually domination by BYU and Portland on the men's side again? Will USF reclaim the top spot on the women's side?

I don't know if that's the top 5 or not, but those aren't their 6k PBs. Just looking at the WCC results last year you can see that Kelsey, Haley, and Ashley ran faster in that race alone.

For the men - yes I think it will be continued domination by BYU and Portland. But I do think we will continue to see the gap shrink to the other teams, though I think we are ways (years) off of anyone catching the top 2. SCU and Gonzaga have closed the gap to LMU and USF over the last couple of years - it will be a good fight to be "the best of the rest" of the WCC.
Why aren't the Loyola Marymount women regionally ranked?

Good question. I also wonder about the men's side. LMU came within 4 points of St. Mary's with their #1 sitting out. Does anyone know if St. Mary's was running their full squad?

Projected WCC 2015 Finish IMO
BYU
Portland
Gonzaga
St. Mary's
LMU/San Francisco
San Francisco/LMU
Pepperdine
San Diego
Santa Clara
Is this men or women projections?
Looks like predictions for the men. For the women,I would expect Portland lower and LMU higher.
The WCC is a good league with lots of talent, but at the top is BYU and there is a LARGE gap back to second on both sides at the moment.
Rob always has the men of Portland ready to go and I expect the gap to shrink significantly in a small race format at the end of the year.
Men-
Byu
Portland
Gonzaga
USF
St. Marys
Lmu
All the rest
Women-
Byu
Gonzaga
Portland
USF
Lmu
St Mary's

IMO there is no possible way that San Diego and Pepperdine beat Santa Clara, they are laughing stocks of D1 running and will continue to be at the bottom. I also think that the San Francisco men are much better than a toss up for 5th/6th in the conference. I can almost see them challenging Portland with their new British transfers
Looks like USF, LMU, St.Mary's, and Santa Clara will all compete at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational a week from Saturday. That should tell us a lot more about the pecking order.
The USF men have prenats on their schedule, I doubt they race anyone but a B squad at Bronco. Looks like we just might have to until until conference. Until then
1. BYU
2. USF
3. Portland
4. Gonzaga
5. St. Mary's
6. LMU
7. Santa Clara
8. Pepperdine
9. San Diego
Looks like you have to put LMU ahead of St. Mary's based on the results of Bronco. LMU got 2nd (108) vs. St. Mary's 4th (115)
