You are entitled to workmen's compensation. Your employer is required by law to have this insurance. No need to sue, just ask for a payout from their insurance.
The container exploded how exactly? If it was improperly stored at the wrong temperature, no case at all. If the fumes after application were exposed to a source of ignition, that would also be negligence on your part. Was the container shaken during transportation? Fault would be difficult to determine.
