I want the laptop to handle the Adobe Creative Suite relatively well. My budget is $500.
My first choice is:
Dell Inspiron 15.6", 8GB RAM, Intel Core i5 processor...$450
Anything else I should look into?

i5 plus 8gb will run well. But it's missing an SSD.
I think getting a solid state hard drive is nowadays probably the best thing you can do to make a computer feel noticeably faster. It will boot faster, load apps faster, etc.

Thank you for the insight.
Will an SSD cost more than $50 extra?...Does it have to be installed by the manufacturer or can I buy it as an "add on" later?
