Yeah, I'd put Shippensburg and Lock Haven in the top 10. It was basically a dual meet Saturday in Pennsylvania. Sure it's a weak region, but both teams are looking strong this year. On a good day either could be top 8.

Go back and look at what happens to "strong teams" from the east-- they go to nationals, race hard, get their butts handed to them and finish 12th...thanks for playing.
According to his source that he sites Biwott still had another year of cross county eligibility, as well as track.
He is said to have graduated early. Whether that is true or not, all the results listed him as a junior last year.
Don't come on here just to insult someone and contribute nothing. Especially when that person made an valuable and accurate contribution.
I've also heard from several people that Biwott graduated "early" with extra eligibility. He looks like he's in shape, but I don't really expect him to race for the team. Maybe he's just there for experience, a warm place to train, and a shot at making a little money in the near future. Would've loved to see Biwott and Dinzeo throw down during that open race at the regional, but The Dinz was pacing so we'll have to wait for outdoors...
you will eat your words, this year isn't the same talent as the last 5, trust me.

When I saw the results with GV's top 3 finishers all together at 5-6-7, and to more guys around 15 seconds back, I just assumed it was was a decent effort but not all out. They also sat Bryce Bradley.
Rumor on the street is that he is hurt. My guess is that they will still run him at nationals... But what kind of form he will be in, after what I am guessing will be a week or 2 of biking and maybe some running, is to be seen.
Not hurt.

Anyone caught off by Harold Karbo not being in national champ shape?
I'l start off. Johnson, Western State. Hasn't been on fire all year but has come on hot as of late and took some impressive scalps at the South Central Regional, Kirui, Andrie, etc. Look for him in contention for the title.
About time for him.
If you can survive the the trials of miles and miles of trials up at that lonely mountain town of Gunnison you can beat any kid in the country. Just look at success of past Western State alumni such as Tyler Pennel. My money's on Johnson to win the damn thing.
Really looking forward to a win from Grand Valley.
Simon Fraser has been looking consistently strong all year, yet always seem to be overlooked in rankings and discussion. I'm surprised no one has mentioned them yet
Is there going to be a live webcast? I can't find any info about it, just a link to live results. Flotrack??
I doubt Johnson wins it.
Not particularly. Hard to stay sharp when your coach never runs you.
Didn't he do the same thing last year but run a lot better though? I agree with you though, I just wanted to get other takes on it.
Wow being at the meet, great run by mines on the boys side. I don't think people expected them to win. And GV shitted a brick on both sides.
Hardhats off to mines. Didn't see that coming. the favorites were unimpressive and Mines ran solid for the win
A big congrats to Mines. I thought they had the team to do it early on, had doubts after regionals...They clearly ran a team race-- let the top guys and wannabes duke it out up front and move up into the top when others fell off.
I will now eat my words on Shippensburg. Great race by them
Western State had one of their men in the medical tent for quite some time following the race. At least 3 Western guys reportedly had the flu...and what happened to Johnnie Guy ?
10 of the top 30 ...12 of the coaches All Americans...15 of the top 43 from the RMAC
HUGE congratulations to Mines. Well done.
Still proud of the ASU men. You made the alums proud. And a huge congrats to the women!! Way to get it done. ASU, ASU, ASU!!!
