The team that beat her holds the record now, even if she did beat the old record. If she'd paced it better she would have smashed the record. That wasn't a mild pacing error - that was a massive dose of youth, big-stage pressure, and adrenaline. She was reduced to a walk!

No, she finished second in the 800.
Just because it was wild, I took splits: 59/74 for the white, 63/68 for the winner in black.
