Good job by the kid. Once he runs 3.1 miles at this pace, has a 9/10 wife and makes more than $300K he can start posting here.
More like 26.2, 10.1/10, and $9,000,000.
That was me when I was 11 years old and now I troll the interwebs all day. Life could NOT be better.
And they say Alberto and Rupp are the ones doping...
Brandon Miller set more national records this week. He ran 1:58 is the semi-finals of the 800 and ran 1:56.41 in the finals:

He set another national record in the 1500 running 4:13.45

He ran 2:25 and 4:58 as an 8yr old. He has set the national record for the 800 and 1500 now four years in row.
He turns 13 this year. He has never run XC or indoor. He plays football in the fall and hoops in the winter. I've read that track might not even be his best sport. AND he plays the piano. The kid is a once in a generation freak.
LeBron started getting a ton of hype around age 10/11. LBJ isn't on this kid's level as far as athletic feats at this age. It's incredible.
He may not be running at all at the end of highschool because he will have peaked so early and gotten tired of it...or...he may be the next Lukas Verzbikas (who also ran 4:32 in middle school) and go sub 4:00 senior year, either way hes still a very impressive athlete. Personally I dont want to judge him and say he wont get better because my 8th grade brother ran 4:40 for 1600 on less than 25 miles a week and I see so much room for improvement in him and that kid is not worlds ahead of my brother

lol.
Yes he is. He is going IN to 7th grade (I think) and he just ran a 13 yo WR of 1:56.x.
