Big deal. Not really impressive unless he's 12 or just turned 13. If he's a 14 year old 8th grader, its no different than the average high school freshman running 4:32, which shows potential to get in the 4:teens or sub 4:10 by the time he's a senior.
Also, whats his mileage?
OMIGOSH! Testosterone shots! It must be! They're all on drugs except me and people I know! AHHHHH!

What's the O/U on him running slower than 4:32 by the time he's a senior?
He was 10 years old as of 2013 as shown by his track clubs website ( http://www.ultimatespeedacademy.org/brandon-miller/ ) seeing that he raced in the Bantom devision that year (9-10). That would mean he was either 12-13 at the time of this race. Not sure what his mileage is though.

Most 7th graders aren't simultaneously a 14 year old 8th grader. Idiot.
Actually, you're incorrect. It depends on when you are considered in the new grade, which could vary in district. Is he in between his 7th and 8th grade years, or between his 6th and 7th grade years?
Sorry if im thinking too far ahead for you. I'm far from an idiot. I scored a 2290 on my SAT. Hardly an idiot.

4:32 mile in 7th grade is absolutely outstanding. Get a sense of perspective. At this time of year, that's obviously someone at the end of the 7th grade. Whether this kid is 12 or 13, that is a great time. Where does it rank in the country or world, all-time for this class/age group? That is another question. Pretty high for this country, I'd think, but you don't need to get the record to be outstanding and better than 99.9999% of 7th grade milers.
The kid is probably only a B student at most. In 7th grade you should be more concerned with getting good grades and graduating to high school than you should about running a fast time. In my experience, the fastest kids were also sub par students academically.
milesplit only lists times from March for this ranking, but for middle schools, the best was 4:34 for 1600m and 4:40 for 1600m for 7th graders. 4:32 is terrific.
I don't know the young man who is the subject of this thread, but I do know other competitors in both the girls and boys junior high races, and they were listed as in the grade most recently completed. I would assume then he will be entering the 8th grade this fall.

So, you're comparing him to an average age freshman running 4:32, if he's a 14 year old 8th grader. You should have just said you made a typo instead of saying you were thinking ahead...are you the worlds dumbest man??? How are you looking ahead? So "if" he's 14 next year (the average age of a 8TH!!! grader moron, and still running 4:32....moron....then he is the same as the average age of a freshman at this time of year (which is 15 you moron).
You are just making yourself look dumber every sentence you write.....
He won the 11/12 800/1500 last year at junior Olympics. He set a NR in one or maybe both? Think he ran 2:03 or something... I saw the races.
He is normal aged as far as I see, presumably turns 13 this year.
And that kid in SC ran 4:30 in 7th last spring. Should look to see how he fared this year in 8th. I think he made the SC state HS final in 7th grade.
This may not be the fastest mile ever run by a 7th grader in the history of the planet. Does that mean it's not impressive? What a F'ing douch you are.

Dang. I'd have given this a 7/10 but nobody seems to be ripping it apart.
Good job by the kid. Once he runs 3.1 miles at this pace, has a 9/10 wife and makes more than $300K he can start posting here.
