You're 26, you're an idiot, we all were at 26 otherwise you wouldn't be driving a car with 200K miles on it that your job depends on. The MPG has nothing to with it if you have to do continued maintenance or breakdown while on the job. If you keep your job then sooner than later you're going to need a new car which will be an additional expense.
You're not even smart enough to know the difference between "overpaid" and "my job pays me more than I think I need". As long as you're doing a good job I don't think your company thinks as you as being "overpaid".
At your age you have no clue what you'll want 6 months from now much less several years. I'm giving you credit that you're going to evolve and actually get a girlfriend, maybe get married and have kids and want nicer things then you have now which doesn't have to mean "drastic lifestyle inflation". Even if you don't get married you're still not going to be eating at the same restaurants or doing the same things 10 years from now. You ever want to travel, buy a house, retire with some money? Your paycheck is more than just pay for apartment and liability insurance on a 200K beater.
When I was 26 my car was a Mazda 323 which was perfectly fine for me then but at almost 50 years old I'm not driving an entry level Mazda. I used to eat fast food every meal...I haven't had fast food in over 5 years. I was basically a neanderthal at 26 but somehow I evolved a bit.
I'll repeat again, YOU'RE 26 YEARS OLD, YOU ARE A MORON but most of us were at that age.
