The 6-12-18-24 was invented on a run at a D1 school in the midwest in 2009.
It has been the stuff of legend for many years now, I only know of three people who claim to have finished.
I completed part of it half-a$$ed a couple years ago, 3-9-12-22

Just to chime in here.
I did the 6-12-18-24 (J/O, miles, beers, doughnuts respectively) in a little over 15 hours. It was definitely difficult, but doable, the doughnuts were by far the hardest for me.
Just recently, I did 24 beers and 24 miles in just under 18 hours, and I was way more gone after that then the 6-12-18-24. If I had add in 24 doughnuts, I would have been pushed to the 24 hour barrier most likely.
The 6-12-18-24 is fun and difficult, but "the stuff of legend" is really just hype.
I've been doing this every Sunday for 20 years...why else would you run except to eat donuts and drink beer? Have to admit I don't do it ON the run, though. That's a good twist.

Beat me to it! Definitely calling bs on this one.

I'd be more inclined to say you've never had a single beer before you mook

24 beers in 2 hours= 1 beer every 5 minutes for 2 hours straight. By putting 24+ and "less than 2 hours" insinuates you drank at a rate even more ridiculous than that.
Video or it didn't happen

Yes on it being invented at the D1 school in the midwest though only 1 alum from said school has actually done it.....No on the 3 completionists, there are 13 of us who have completed it and are in a private facebook group together.
REALLY?
In my not so humble opinion, IF YOU CAN'T RUN 7:30 PACE FOR 3 HOURS, WITH TRAINING OR NOT, YOU SHOULD LEAVE THIS SITE AND GO TO RUNNERS WORLD or colorrun.com
you should be able to sit on the couch for a year and get up and run 7:30 miles if you're anything resembling a runner
p.s. I also believe strongly that marathon courses should be shut down after 4 hours. Maybe a prvision for people who were aiming for 4 hours and had an issue, but anything else is really a mockery of competitive running unless you're 70 years old or something
you just assume everyone can run at that pace for almost an hour, easily?[/quote]

I am not proud of this but I have done this.
I am over 1 year sober now though.
My hardest-drinking friend in college did a "case day," and I was amazed how hard it was for him! I assumed 24 beers would be pretty easy, because he frequently drank over 10 beers in an evening. But it was brutal! I stopped by his room a couple times, for a total of two or three hours, and he had no memory of seeing me. I think the 24 beers is far and away the hardest part of this challenge.
24 miles at 7:30 may be pretty tough if the 400/800 guys are in on the challenge. Also it depends on the weather; 24 miles at any pace is dreadful on a 90 degree day.

That is considered light drinking in some circles of friends.
Actually, all beer drinking can be considered light drinking. You can't drink it fast enough to get really wasted.
That's Great! Thanks for posting!
You're an idiot

fixed it for you.
The trick on the 24x3 is to do it in two days. In other words, start at about 3pm today, run 12-15 miles, go home, drink about 12 beers and eat donuts. then go to sleep. Get up at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Feel a little sh*tty, but once you're on the road, you'll be good to go for the 9-12 miles. Then you have 6+ hours to drink 12 beers and eat however many donuts you have left. No problem.
That's why a 'case day' is harder.

"and myself"? If I paid your college fees, I'd be asking for my money back.
I'm glad this thread made the home page. Shows the Brosjo have a sense of humor

I'd say for 1500 guys as well. It all depends on how good people are of course but its almost a full marathon. I know several people from 3.40-3.50, none regularily run longer than 15 miles at once.
