Is it smart for me to start working out again after a 1 month hiatus and at the same time increase my mileage? It will be during the summer, so I really want to start getting back into rock climbing and would be doing finger and forearm strengthening drills in addition to an Ice Cream Fitness type workout schedule. Is there a smart and safe way to do this? My mileage got so low this year and I miss having the strength and confidence on longer runs that i used to have, I really want to enjoy it again. Any advice would be much appreciated, especially consisting of training?workout plans. Mileage would be bumped from around 40, up to 70, not really worrying bout how many miles I run.
