Heinonen announced his retirement from the University of Oregon last fall. Does anyone have the scoop on who's going to be taking over? Wouldn't it help with recruiting if they had a replacement named sometime soon? Has the job even been listed yet?

Is Martin Smith going to take over the women's program? Does he want the women's and men's jobs? It would be nice if Oregon made a move soon. No coach=no recruits.
Or is it local boy Martin Franklin?
LOL!
Wouldn't he get lynched for showing his face in Eugene?
New coach couldn't recruit until old coach is gone so I don't think that would be an issue.
Well, I don't know or understand NCAA rules, but that seems like the typical dumb one. Anyway, even if the new coach couldn't recruit, perhaps name recognition would help with recruiting as opposed to not knowing at all who was going to be in charge next fall.

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.
Robert Gary...
I herad that they contacted Gary, but he had no interest in coaching woman. It would be such a prestigious jump for him; I would be surprised if that was the reason.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
