What do you think the odds are that they got the podium fillers correct and in the right order?
-
Ritz at 40-1 in crap weather can do podium at 2:07
-
so the 6/4 for Desisa, that's not to be confused with 3:2, right? not to toot my horn, but I think i might be good at maths and stuff.

I'm feeling Bernard Kipyego in this one.
Women's who knows. I'd love Shalane to pull it off. But am going with Deba. -

Odds aren't a prediction of the race results, they are a reflection of the money being bet. Oddsmakers don't pick sides, they make a market. -

malmo is correct but looking at the construction (misconstruction?) of that sentence the OP is asking for someone to set the odds on the published odds reflecting the actual finish order. The OP does not seem to be implying that the reason the odds are what they are is because they are an attempt by the odds makers to predict the finish order.
22-1 is a nice payout. -

.
Huh? The OP was explicitly asking "[if the oddsmakers] got the podium fillers correct and in the right order" The oddsmakers only made a book for individuals winning. Making a separate book for the correct order, would be a classic trifecta, which is separate from picking individual winners. -
Is there any specific rule against the competitors themselves placing wagers?

Speaking of sports betting, guys, where it's better to bet? I managed to find a few options on https://www.bookmakeradvisor.com/uk/bonus/ladbrokes/ but I am sure that there are some really experienced people here so maybe you can give me some help?

To bet the Boston Marathon -- more than other major marathons -- is to be willing to throw a bit of money away, because the weather is often more of a factor than in other major marathons. Looking at these odds, I would pick someone for whom the odds are greater than 10-1, just to have a chance at a generous payout. For me, as of now, Ware at 14-1 is worth a bet, and Abel Kirui at 28-1 definitely worth a bet. I would expect to lose on both, but 28-1 on Kirui especially would be worth a little $$.

I like Caroline Rotich at 22-1, seems like good value
6-4 isn't great money, but I can't bet against Lelisa Desisa this year
