On tax day (how's that for timing given its Boston), we preview the American men's chances this year of winning the Boston marathon.
Last year, we said they were at best 1/27 - this year we think they face even higher odds than that.

So who do you guys think will be the top American? I guess Meb and Ritz are leaps and bounds better than the other guys but I'd like to see someone likeEggelston be first American.
Of course, maybe that's not a good thing as there no way he's contending if he's FA. I see why people root for Ritz and Webb, they could contend.
Anyone older than me (25) know how Teg was at xc in college? I just don't see him doing well on hilly Boston being that big unless he was a great xc runner.
Has a bid dude ever rocked Boston?
In case you haven't seen it, our review of the men likely to win (international men) can be found here:
So far 14% of you are predicting (or hoping for?) a Meb victory.
umm, I guess I'll let it pass b/c of your age (i'm older than both you and teg, so I guess I should know) but teg has been good at cross since a young lad. not amazing as far as foot locker, but I'm pretty sure he finished 5th at world cross as a jr (perhaps with jorge torres 3rd?), so he's been plenty good at cross, when it was a focus for him. that was a loooooong time ago, but he's still on jerry's training, 15yrs later, so that's worth something right there. regardless, there IS a ceiling to teg, and what it is, I don't know, but I'd place it around 5th/6th at best. will he meet that ceiling? have to wait for monday, but I'd reckon anything in the top ten or under 212/213 will be a happy day for teg
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
