I just read Yahoo is the only major site paying cash to it's bracket winner. The NCAA is so messed up and actually worried that athletes would fix games so someone could win a bracket challenge (that means they would fix the NCAA Final) that ESPN and other major sites are only picking random people within the top 1%, or 10% to get prizes.
Not Yahoo. The winner of its bracket, ie the person with the highest score, gets $50,000.
So I just created a LetsRun.com pool on Yahoo.

Get your entries in. They make it easy as you can autopick the top seeds and adjust from there. Spread the word. If we get more than 200 entries, LRC will chip in $100 to our winner.
There Still is Time - LetsRun.com NCAA Bracket On The Only Site Giving $50,000 To the Winner

Exactly. And that is why Monday morning is often the biggest time for traffic on LetsRun.com - people are bored at work.
When our server used to crash a lot US productivity rose. -

Thanks man. Iwas one of those guys bored at work. Just slacked off 20 minutes on the boss's dime and entered the tourney. I've got a tv next to my computer and will be watching games all afternoon.
On a serious note, I was about to start a thread - how come no one is talking about march madness - what happened to the billion dollar bracket.
The NCAA is a JOKE. they are worried about ncaa tournament pools corrupting the youth of america. meanwhile profs do their papers for them which isn't a surpise as it would be hard for me to do well in school if I was playing every tuesday night. -
Wejo going against the grain a bit and picking Arizona to win it all!
-
20 minutes? You thought too much over your pics. Think I filled it out in less than five. And I'll earn the same $0 that you did for your pics.
-
its too bad you announced this less than an hour before the start of the tourney. My brackets are on other sites. I could have made one on yahoo, a dinosaur website from the early days of the internet that no one uses if you'd done it this morning or last night.

I think Hingle just set a record for the fastest busted bracket in Tourney history picking Iowa State to win it all, and they lost in the second game of the first day of the Tourney. Wow.
-
Why didn't you post this sooner??? I'm a sucker for March Madness.
-
Hingle did make a nice call on the much maligned UCLA team knocking off SMU. Mad props, Hingle. Go smell one now.

And now he's leading the pool ... while he wont win with that bust its he actually made some great calls -
Unfortunately, I am SO busy this spring semester that I don't have time to play...:( I played last year and had fun but I'm taking a review course right now plus raising family and doing a little coaching on the side. I hope to be back next year to play!

You know it just consisted of filling out a bracket once, right?

HINGLE IS DONE. -
In the long run, yes. But 27 of 32 in the first round is pretty solid. I admire his genius.

Nice try, Hingle. You are on track to finish next to dead last in the pool - only ahead of the guy who didn't make a single pick. Quite the genius. -
And i still lead the pool HAHA
-
Not Hingle. Just impressed at how well his picks have done so far. Haters gonna hate hate hate...

But the contest isn't over, and he is utterly screwed. Were you also praising Robert Morris when they were leading Duke 5-2?
