I recall a band of similar vintage. I believe it was called Yellow, and the song I remember is "Bostich." Is this perhaps the same band as "Yello," just without the "w"? In like manner, I think Yaz originally went by the name Yazoo.

I just love it when old-timers honor us with their presence.

Dang man. 2 secs behind Shorter. Not many can say that. Nice job.
Thanks, I got lapped by Pre in the last lap. I guess he almost lapped Frank Shorter as well. 13,000 fans screaming for him. Sound was deafening. Somebody has got to have a photo of that last lap somewhere.

Nice link. Happy Rowers commentary is off a bit on that one. Fargo street does not have a 27° incline. That would make it steeper Baldwin Street in New Zealand, officially the steepest street in the world with a 19.3° incline. Fargo streets official 33% grade works out to an 18.2° incline.
Thank you. I did e-mail Flicker and was able to provide him with some information. He also had an out of focus picture of the race showing all the runners that he said he obtained from LetsRun.com site, and the Malmo uploaded the picture to the site. However, Malmo doesn't seem to want to respond about it.
Bobby, which photo are you talking about? I don't think that I uploaded it....
Is this the photo? If so, download it, then go to Google images and do a search. That should give you a list of location where the original image was found. You are most likley to find other images from the same meet. Also, I think I can provide you links to other photo collections where you might find photos of world cross and California high school races. I'll do some searching for you.
Hi Malmo,
Yes, thats the photo. I downloaded it, however I have never done a google images search, so not sure how to do that. I appreciate your help. Thanks!

I did a search on it and it appears that Happyrower is the original source.
Malmo, thanks. I appreciate you taking the time to search this photo for me.
