Hi everyone.
Im in my junior year of highschool and im finishing my indoor track season. I run three seasons cross country, indoor and outdoor track. This season has been sort of a drag. Its been really hard to maintain my typical weekly mileage of around 46 miles a week due to all the snow we have in new england. Ive only been able to do 30 or 35 miles a week. I hoped to pr in the 1500 this season (4:12) but its been really hard because ive missed so many workouts and runs. I have states this weekend and maybe the New England meet if I qualify after that. My question is do i need to take a training break before outdoor track. I usually take a week or so off between seasons but im not tired the way I usually am at the end of seasons because of my lack of hard training. I just want to get right into working hard for a good outdoor season.
