Hello,
Ive always peeked at this forum and really enjoyed it. I decided to register to ask questions, because why not?
So what i want to know is i really want to improve my times before the season starts and what i should eat to lean down because i feel like im too heavy and if i lost weight i'd be even faster.
I just turned 15 years old and i've only raced 3 races in my life in 2 meets 400m, 200m and 800m all in pre-season meets
my 400m time is 53.98 without blocks (or sprinter spikes was using distance spikes) my 200m was in the same meet as the 400m and I did 22.86 with blocks
and my 800m time is 2:06 (lead the whole race)
im almost 6'1 and weigh in the 160 range
more details: im a freshman in high school and would really love to get faster, i keep asking my coaches and they say im only a freshman but i want to improve because i wanna run sub 50 this year for 400m and sub 1:58 on the 800m.
Any advice for a diet that can keep me healthier and i was wondering if i should also do mileage on my own because the workouts are mostly speed.
Extra details: i ran XC and my best this year is 16:43 and i want to get sub 15:30 next XC season as well.
Please give me advice i really want to improve: i want to win state and be a superb runner
