I heard a mention of Connor Mantz possibly winning...waiting on updated results on website.
Cerake took the lead kinda early but died and Connor Mantz took the win (not sure of the time). Cerake took a distant second, Dressel 3rd.
1. True
2. Derrick
3. Ritz
4. Curtis
Wild Card: Garrett Heath
15 minutes in and Thweatt is trying to break free. Only followed by Hall and then Neely Spence. 4th place is 20+ meters back.
Thweatt has been hammering all race. Nice crowds!!!
While the feed is solid in its continuity, the quality is too low. SD stream should be a fall back to a HD default. Watching it on my desktop, I can barely make out faces/uniforms. And where are the live results/splits online? No live results for a national championship seems to worse than most high school meets these days.
Cerake made a move about 11 minutes in and had a 25 meter ish lead but by 16 minutes connor mantz moved past John Dressel and caught Cerake. Cerake followed mantz until about 20 or 21 minutes when Mantz made a move and Cerake hit the wall and jogged home. Dressel nearly got an almost walking Cerake at the line haha. Impressive run from connor mantz.
19 minutes in and it's become a 2 person race. Spence is dropped. Just hall and Thweatt.
23 minutes in and it's all Thweatt. She's making us look good as we predicted it.
A dominant performance. She hammered from the gun and is crushing everyone.
Interesting to see how Mackey has fallen off given her 5K PB. I guess given how she's running today + her indoor mile race earlier this season she must be more focused on indoor track then XC. If that's the case though then I wonder why she's racing today, must just be for fun/as a workout rather than making the World team.
Spence didn't cross the finish line: either altitude sickness or injury. Wow.
Thanks Rojo. It was our computer. Used my daughter's laptop and it's working fine...got to see the finish:) Thanks for letting me know that it was working so I could try another computer.

Feed is working great. I'm watching Laura Thweatt, Neely SPence, Nelson adn Hall - all of the names we esxpected - up front 10 minutes into the women's race.
womens race was like watching paint dry. all I can say is: Jen Rhines is bomb.
Well, whatever....all day I've only had audio and a green picture. Tired of it.
Thweatt post-race.
“Wow I can’t believe it’s real. I can’t believe that just happened.”
“They gave me a run for my money today. It was a tough field and it coudl have been anyone’s day. Iknew i was going to run as hard as I’ve ever run to get the win and that’s what I was trying to do. If anyone was going to beat me, they were really going to have to go for it.”
“It was just a great field. A ton of great women.”
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been outkicked doing that (leading from the gun).”
“Hell yeah," said Thweatt when asked if she's be going to China. "This is a time I’ve wanted to make since forever. I can’t wait to represent the USA.”
Women's top 5 finishers.
Thweatt 27:41 won by 30+ seconds
Suver -
Rhines
Felnagle
Hall

Baloris?
Bizzarri
Thweatt was immensely superior to everyone else. Going from never representing USA to winning this.
Anyone know the top six women? They stopped reading names after a while, couldn't tell if Bizzarri made it into the top six. Thought I saw her finish pretty early, but then they said her name much later as an afterthought, like they got confused and didn't know who she was.
Typical ride or die antics by spence. She faded hard. Hope she's ok. Men's race should be more competitive up front.
Stream died for me. For others, too?
Typical to lose it right before the men's race starts.
