It's easy to complete passes when they're all a couple yards behind the line of scrimmage.
The defense took away the deep ball. They took away the mid-range game. They took away the run game and forced NE to go to the air. And they took away two of his passes. Belicheat should be credited for coming up with a game plan that ended up being good enough against the Seattle D, but come on, Brady was hardly a pawn in that scheme. Belicheat and Edelman made Brady look good.
It's too bad Lane got hurt. His side was targeted heavily after that.
