This movement is gaining traction and has caught the attention of multiple boosters here in Chattanooga. Now is not the time to stop, please sign the petition, send an email to the AD. The running community makes this world a much smaller place. Thanks letsrunners!
Always happy to support the Lucas Cotter's and Zach Darby's of the world. Is there a petition to sign (maybe I missed it in this thread)?

Online Petition can be found at this link:
https://www.change.org/p/chancellor-steve-angle-save-utc-men-s-track-and-fieldAs a current Moc I want to thank everyone who has supported our cause thus far. We view this not only as protecting the program at UTC but also as support for all track/XC programs close to facing the ax. This is a chance for the running community to show administrations that we are a tight-nit group. Many of the runners at UTC over the years haven't been footlocker guys or high school phenoms but local kids with running potential. Simply guys that have passion for running but didn't have the opportunity or coaching to fully develop their talents in high school. Athletes like these have been the heart and soul of mid-major programs like UTC for years. If the first choice for cuts are programs like ours there no longer will be venues for this group of athletes to grow. Even if you don't fall into this category (as a longtime letsrun follower it seems most everyone is a previous All-American stud) I think most can empathize with those that have a love for running and would love an opportunity to continue at a Division-I school. Let's protect our sport and those that have a genuine interest in becoming better runners, students, and people.

Men's T&F will always be the sacrificial goat because you get to eliminate 3 sports at once. Always attractive to AD's. Also, Title IX isn't just about equal # of live bodies, but equal amount of $$$$$$$$$$ to women's sports. Couldn't UTC reduce by 10% the number of scholarships in ALL men's sports and add women's rowing rather than eliminate an entire sport?
Am I being delusional that this would ever happen?

With all this in mind, I respectfully ask you to reconsider eliminating the men’s track and field program. I understand that somewhere something has to be eliminated. I understand that this is probably a very tough decision for you. However I strongly urge to reconsider. Please understand the effect that this would have not only on UTC but for the Chattanooga community. Chattanooga needs a track and field program and therefore in my opinion should not be eliminated.
Respectfully,

Nice sentiments in general but it reads like a 8th grade opinion essay- "therefore in my opinion..."
Also, only rubes spell "cheque" like "check."
Female coach having affair with male runner. Should I report it?
Post about women banditing Brooklyn half marathon going viral on X
If Daniel's and Pfitz are outdated..then where do I look for modern training plans?
