But, this one's longer.
What's happening at McMurry? They posted the job on NCAA Market before they even removed Chandler from the website...

That's what she said.

Well, if you noticed the first headline on the McMurry website, you'd know he took another job.
http://www.mcmurrysports.com/news/2014/12/22/MXC_1222141711.aspxMarietta really dropped the ball on their open position. They knew during the summer about their opening, but they chose to sit and do nothing until the beginning of November. What are these administrators thinking? They just don't give a rats arse about track and field. They get what they deserve. And their lack of attention to hiring anyone for 5 months will come back and bite them in the butt.
Marietta has an outdoor track good enough to host the '09 Nationals, a good indoor facility, and solid places to train - especially when it comes to hills.
Larry Hiser needs to do his job. Good people have applied the last two times the position has come open. HIRE ONE.

I just looked on the UCLA track website, and John Johnson is indeed listed as Director of Ops. The UCLA women's track team will be looking for a new head coach to replace Johnson. These kind of changes do not happen mid year unless there are extenuating circumstances. Something must have happened between Johnson and Mike Maynard, the current Director of UCLA Track and Field. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

The UCLA coaching change was not planned ...
As of today i think UCLA will go with current staff
Darrell Smith and Joanna Hayes may coach the men
Bob Kersee and Joanna Hayes may coach the women
Heard a rumor that Greg Hipp from NIU was let go. Any truth to that? Solid Coach with a well respected reputation.
Yes, Hipp was fired the week before the convention. He has been fired what three times now? Seems like a good dude, but something must be wrong with his DNA
I usually don't post responses on here about fellow coaches, but this needs to be clarified.
Greg Hipp was not fired three times. In fact he inherited two less then ideal working situations and made the most of them. He's a good coach that will do well with an average situation.
So clarify. If he didn't get fired, and he had less than ideal situations, what really happened? They didn't renew his contract? They eliminated his position? He was actually fired? You failed to clarify anything.
Any updates on the miami job?
I need to learn how to run, rofl.
He is getting out if coaching because he has a baby on the way. More money, less time at work, more time with his family.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can break into coaching? I have a year of collegiate volunteer coaching where I was given free reign to work with the freshman and sophomore distance guys (1500-10k). I'm willing to go anywhere and work for very little. Should I just email coaches and ask if they are gonna have any openings for the coming fall?
You need a college degree in Coaching.
Coach Hipp was fired period. No questions asked.
King College in TN?? Is Peter Dalton leaving...again?!?!?!??
