What can WE do to apply pressure to Hightower and USATF?

It seems that many of us are really unsatisfied with the manner in which Hightower was elected into power. In fact, I don't think I've come accross one favorable review (aside from perhaps the USATF) of hightower or the election process.

It seems a few elite athletes are voicing their concern (Leer, Fleshman, etc...) via Twitter and Blogging. Which is great. Leadership such as theirs is important. Now what can we, as fans, do to further voice our discontent? Does anybody have ideas or suggestions? Is there perhaps a petitioning process to invoke? Can we e-mail USATF officials?

The great majority of us here really love T & F. Are we satisfied with the USATF handling of this situation?

David Grefinger wrote a great article that outlines some steps that we will attempt to take to improve USATF. One of the things that you can do is email whichever USATF Board Member is supposed to represent you. I did my best to outline who represents who, and their email addresses, here:

When a critical mass of people start complaining to sponsors then you really see changes happen.

This seems right.

Another option is to mass email mainstream media sites. If the NYT or WSJ or ESPN did a story, it would help.

Leer and Fleshmen are L.A. snots bent on moving USATF offices to L.A. which we don't want.

worldwide protests, nba stars wearing "i can't breath t-shirts", the mainstream media's constant coverage......this has done ZERO to change REAL problems..... What chance do you think some emails or phone calls will have in a situation where no one is really getting hurt, and no one really cares?
