because this is what matters about vessey. a bit of a head case in her early 30s? oh you KNOW she can get down. she would tear most of you wimps to shreds. probably me too, but i'd enjoy every minute of it trying to tame her.
The things I would let her do to me with those thighs....
Maybe she'll sign with Skechers. They make great shoes. I've been alternating between the Nike Free and the Skechers Ride 3 for the last year.
Maggie's been back with Greg Brock for the last year or so and ran her fastest time since she left him 3-4 years ago.
If anyone can get her back to 1:57-1:58 it's probably the guy who got her there the first time. No more 800-1500 training. (400-800 training worked 4 years ago)
I guess she got tired of being sponsorless...With all of the money Meb's brother has made Meb and Leo, it seems like a good move.
“I really gravitate toward Hawi’s style,” Vessey said. “He’s a man of great integrity and honesty. There is a lot of support for me to be creative and he’s also very creative. I feel very lucky to have him as part of my team.”
Editor's Note: We got an email informing us that Vessey actually left Flynn 2-years ago and had been represented by Paul Doyle and Doyle Sports Management for the past year before going to Hawi.

Remarks like this only makes Maggie more famous.
Lady Gaga with some wheels.

Maggie gets more people talking about the sport than any of these super athletes.
That's exactly what this sport needs- personalities.
I remember the Coe-Ovett Rivalry.
Ovett, for a while, wouldn't talk to the press.
I liked Ovett.
I had a GF who hated him and liked Coe- my GF wasn't a runner or athlete by a long shot. It's just that everyone knew them.
The "assembly line" Kenyans and Ethiopians didn't (don't) have a media presence.
And face it, watching a Diamond League 5000 with 18 runners, 10-12 of them Kenyan with the same Nike uniform on is not exciting- and I LOVE watching track. I'm 55 years old and I've been watching and running since 1971.
You know the only time my local sports talk radio station ever discussed track? When Lolo Jones was getting called out by Dawn Harper at the 2012 Olympics. They even play her soundbite of being the "Anna Kournakova" of track a lot.
If you want track to be mainstream this is what it takes like or not.

Didn't the Red Hot Chili Peppers write a song about her?
No, that was Rod Stewart. He sang about what Maggie May do after a sufficient amount of alcohol is poured into her.

I thought women were trying to move in the opposite direction Vessey is going.
Only the ugly ones, who, as you'll notice, are the only women who ever complained about being "objectified," as if they'd even know what that dishonor is like.
She's completely irrelevant outside of the skinny runner geeks with a muscle chick fetish who frequent this site.
Truth told.
