Is that the chick who wore those outlandish outfits?
Didn't the Red Hot Chili Peppers write a song about her?
Guys like Ray Flynn have been doing business the exact same way for years. If you want something new and non traditional you are smart to go in a different direction.
You know every person on earth has at least one weird, oddball acquaintance who left the comforts of home for Hollywood to become a movie star, computer games programmer, hip-hop recording artist, astronaut, filmmaker, sports star, etc. Maggie is just that.
She looks like Jar Jar Binks.
But what has she done on the track lately?
She seemed to have ducked the major meets last year. I know she showed up for a few but she hadn't been a factor for several years.
So money for what? I was a fan. Met her on several occasions. Nice gal but a bit of a head case. 32 going on 33.
That ACNE tho.

I guess she got tired of being sponsorless...With all of the money Meb's brother has made Meb and Leo, it seems like a good move.
“I really gravitate toward Hawi’s style,” Vessey said. “He’s a man of great integrity and honesty. There is a lot of support for me to be creative and he’s also very creative. I feel very lucky to have him as part of my team.”

Im not sure why this would be news.
Vessey does not bring in any revenue for Flynn , Im sure he is glad to get rid of her , more effort than money coming in. Vessy is in a tough event with some the world best in her event are americans , she becomes a "b" level runner not worth much of anything. BTW you don't get paid for wearing costumes on the track !

because this is what matters about vessey. a bit of a head case in her early 30s? oh you KNOW she can get down. she would tear most of you wimps to shreds. probably me too, but i'd enjoy every minute of it trying to tame her.
Lordy...."Fashion Icon Maggie Vessey". Are they kidding? Those outfits are terrible.....
Is this a news story or a PR release?
Vessey hasn't been with Flynn for a couple of years. I for one, am happy to see her go with Hawi and look forward to the 2015 season. She had a good 2014 and is 6th fastest 1:59.96 in US. I don't think Hawi would sign her without good reason.

I've met Hawi, he's a sweet down to earth man and someone who really cares about his athletes.
Maggie loves our sport and has been banging on through injuries etc. Kudo's for her, in a neglected sport for trying to make her own publicity and positive statements by bringing some eye catching fashion to the track.
You old men may night like her racing kits, but I can tell you the women and young women who follow the sport think it is great, fresh, new and expands the concepts of racing kits from standard and boring to something fashionable and personally expressive.
All the best to Maggie, she a great gal.
Maggie's 52 speed versus B Mart's strength:
Good points.
A Duck swooping in from outa nowhere. Glad to see you still around!
I like your handle and am also glad A Duck is back!
Too old/obscure for a Playboy appearance?

Young women are happy that they now have the option of racing with their whole ass out? They're happy that advertisers won't think of them as true athletes but simply fashinistas, more concerned with looks over results? Hmmm, I thought women were trying to move in the opposite direction Vessey is going.
Maggie gets more people talking about the sport than any of these super athletes.
