kid should be playing video games and not trying to run a fast 5K. Obviously.
Young Zachary Blum...you are doing it all wrong. You are supposed to walk these things and then post about it on Facebook and other social media sites. You aren't supposed to try to run fast.
Should be able to take 6 minutes off that time by the end of College. Might be the WR holder in 15 years (by 2030 anyway). Let's start hyping him now so we can follow (twitter) his development.
But is he the next Marton Pandy? That's what we really want to know!
What’s up Billy! It’s me, Zach, 9 years later and I just wanted to personally let you know that I definitely didn't burn out and that I'm still improving, running a 4:17 mile and 9:16 2 mile which is much faster than when I was running a slow 18:30 5k. Thank you Billy for giving me the motivation to prove you wrong and I hope you see this one day.

pretty average
I didn't run 18:30 5k until I was 15, and by the time I was around my 18th birthday I ran faster than 4:17 and faster than 9:16. Does that mean this Zach Blum was super talented to run so fast early on but doesn't do great training? A 9:16 is great, but a lot of people do that. A 9 year old running 18:30 is pretty insane, I imagine it's as rare as a high school kid running 8:40 or faster 3200.
