(in the stadium, a faint cry is heard, building, building, building, building up to a deafening roar...what's it saying though...who is that man that glides so gracefully...who...who..?)

No....i didn't mean that :)
I'd say Sammy Kipketer, Wilson Kipketer and that Yuri-guy from Russia!
William Chirchir and Cornelius Chirchir?!
Prettiest running form? You little runts are more queer than I thought. What's your next thread? Tightest male ass? ha ha hahahaa.

Sweatiest Keyboard: Mr Chest when fantasizing about all of the skinny hairless young dudes on this site who he is infatuated with and monitors 24/7.
Carl Lewis had the prettiest form.
I'm the straightest guy I know (not bashing, just saying what is), and I don't think this thread is "gay" in the least. Perhaps I would have used a term besides "prettiest" in the subject line... but I think everyone gets the point.
If you have never admired another's form at some point, I have to wonder what kind of runner are you? When you are fit and you're striding out before a race, don't you feel like a finely tuned instrument? Not only is this a feeling that contributes to why one runs, but you can definitely appreciate when others demonstrate their fluidity. It's kind of like admiring your friend's new Lexus. It doesn't mean you want HIM, it just means he has a nice ride that many ohers wouldn't mind having.
That being said, it is with great irony that Carl Lewis had quite the stride. He won most of his races from 50-80m... not at the gun. I saw him warming up once, and while he was doing a stride (and a decent pace), he instantly jumped 3 gears to a turnover/stride that most could never dream of.
I also like Seb's, Geb's, Wilson Kipketer's (I also like my wife's, but since most of you can not relate, there's not much value-add in including her).
While I have the utmost respect for enduring marathoners, their form does not seem comparatively as "pretty".

Prefontaine, no way. He ran hard and looked like he was running hard. The prettiest American runner for my money was Frank Shorter, he ran tall and gracefully and was described as an inverted hyphen when he ran. However, the best I ever saw was the late Abebe Bikila. His run in Tokyo was a perfect picture of focus and grace. Just look at Bud Greenspan's video on the Tokyo Olympics and you will see just what I mean.
I am almost positive that LArunner is a girl--so it is all right for her to say "prettiest form." But I rather think she did it as a joke to see how many guys would jump on the thread touting their favorite form among men. Not funny LArunner to be that tricky and coniving. Shame on you.
If by prettiest, you mean smoothest: Larry James.
Most exciting? Not sure what you mean, but Paula comes to mind, since I wonder if she's gonna make it 8 more steps...
It's been said that Magpie has real nice form.
