In yesterday's interview, Symmonds said that in answer to the question of what he does for a living he answered "marketing". Seems about right, eh?
I look forward to reading it as I'm quite a track fan.

To those in the corner saying "there's nothing wrong with Nick trying to make a buck" you don't get it.
The problem is that his book is so pathetic that nobody will listen to him or want to listen to him in the future and it will lessen his future earning potential. He will actually make less money in the future because of his cheap attempt to make a quick buck.

didnt read it, dont need to. its stupid and not worth reading. if you want to read a real book, read "Technological Slavery" by Theodore John Kaczynski
Yeah so? How is the Symmonds book different than any other autobiography? Everyday there are celebrities on a talk show promoting some piece of crap they are in.
Reading has basically become obsolete now that everyone has access to youtube.

Wrong. ... Just finished "Wannabe Distance God" and liked it. Just started
"From Last to First ". I probably have about 60 running books in my collection. Reading a good book is like hitting that perfect zone in a run.
im not a stick at all, so no, you dont know me

I wouldn't read it for free. To read him bragging about sex to make himself feel better. Please, life is too short. What does that have to do with his event?
Where did you get the silly idea that his book would be only about his event? I haven't read the book, so I'm not in a position to comment on its literary merits, but most athletes who write books concentrate on things other than their events, games, etc...
Nice guy. I'm sure someone approached him with a chance to change his income from $200+/year to possible seven figures.
I'm sure the phrase :Think about your future! was used in some context.

Why do you care about any of that? Whether this helps or hurts Nick's earning potential is for Nick to worry about.

Then you don't have much of a life and have yet to learn the true meaning. I spent one minute responding to your post. You'll spend hours reading dribble about sex in an attempt to sell books because he can't be interesting enough without it. Get a life!
Curious... wrote:If you haven't read it or won't then how do you know it's stupid? I'm reading it right now, it's interesting but then again I like reading autobiographies or how an athlete got where they did in life.
I'm not going to read the book, but do not think you should criticise those who choose to read it. Can you please inform everyone of the "true meaning" of life and your grounds for telling othrs that they do not have "much of a life"?
Is the true meaning of life refraining from doing something you enjoy because another person believes that activity is not an efficient use of your time?
Please, tell us about all your hobbies that enable you to grasp the true meaning of life.

You sound like A Duck. You seem to know a lot about a book you wouldn't read for "free" let alone for $1,000.
Sure, no problem.
If you haven't figured out that reading a book that is simply being self-promoted as being heavy on "sex", then you enlightening you won't help...you're a lost cause who is merely living vicariously through the life of someone other than yourself. Go running, meet a girl, learn to do something (reading his book will teach you nothing).
A Duck? I have NO clue what you're talking about, but you've got insecurity issues beyond belief. Back to your parent's basement.

Say what, I seem to know a lot about the book??? Are you just really stupid with comprehension or just plain mental??? Wait, don't answer that.
Of course he does, it's about him, he's human, and he has an ego.
