Update for 2019:
Knight as a first year professional runs 13:09.76 and finishes 10th at DOHA world championships in the 5000m. For comparison Ahmed as a first year: 13:10.00 PR and 12th at Beijing World Championships in the 5000m. Knight continues to outpace.
Ahmed in his fifth year as professional finishes 3rd at Doha World Championships 5000m and 6th in the 10,000m. 12:58.16/26:59.35 PRs .
To keep pace Knight needs to run 13:01.76 or faster and finish 4th at the Olympics in the 5000m next year.
