He could perhaps hire another USATF expert Mike Corn of Tulane University to run the distance event. (tremendous credentials from the high school level)
corn has successfully run rachel bryan, footlocker qualifier and california roller, into the ground. his standing with men's team members is even better.

The idea of Mike Corn being a qualified coach is hilarious. 1 state championship in 20 years of coaching (and in a weak year in Louisiana, so the competition was EXTREMELY weak). He's never coached anyone to a significant level. Apparantly his only accomplishment is reaching USATF Level III coaching certification....any fool can do that.
And the Rachael Bryan comment was dead on, she is a good running a good minute or more slower over 5K than just a year ago
