Except that she didn't go to Colorado for College - as did Jenny BS, Kara G and Emma C. Why would Wetmore want to take on a Pro athlete he didn't coach through College?
NB just signed her because of her hot azz and how it will look in their new line of high waisted bunhuggers.
Cory is a real talent, NB doesnt need another "hot chick". They're pretty well covered.
Who will she train with?
Girl who has always lived in the South now training in Boston.
Super expensive city.
A "group" that includes just one (Abbey) who is high mileage and Cory is not at all.
A 5k/10k/marathon coach who has never coached a post-collegiate female.
Some of these professional recruits seem like they will go anywhere for a shoe contract. I feel like Coogan and also Mackey, Brooks Beasts, are both way too unproven to get the kind of talent they are.
You can make this claim for Nike and their 3 groups in Oregon and Brooks for their one group in Seattle, but New Balance athletes are free to be based wherever they think will make them most successful. Martinez (Vigil), Emma/Jenny (Whetmore), Garcia (Gary/Furman Elite), Sarah Brown (husband coaches her I believe). So Cory obviously thought it was the best environment. Brooks and Nike force certain contracts to be at certain places, but if Cory was made to go there in order to get a contract, I would be very surprised.
Female coach having affair with male runner. Should I report it?
Post about women banditing Brooklyn half marathon going viral on X
If Daniel's and Pfitz are outdated..then where do I look for modern training plans?
Colin Sahlman runs 1:45 and Nico Young runs 1:47 in the 800m tonight at the Desert Heat Classic
