I think they had EPO available, Did you see Denna in 1'09 for master? She found some for sure.... :-)

Your daughter is in a phase of development which will probably seem like a long four years.
Goucher and any other 36 year old athlete is hanging on for dear life against the ravages of time and those four years will fly by.
Allow me to be a bit more succinct, especially since I have experience running/racing at both of those milestones: 36 is not almost 40.

I used to respect you...

So do I and I think those four years lasted just a couple of months.

I am sorry to hear that your running was such a traumatic experience between 36-40, but your PTSD doesn't change the fact that it is still separated by four years... an entire Olympiad apart.

Concurrent with PR's comeback.
Coincidence? I think not.

I was trying to have a bit of fun with the person who seems to think that 36-years-old is actually close to 40! My daughter just graduated from high school a few months ago, so is she close to graduating from college?
Congratulations, your 36 year old daughter just graduated from high school.

Or he's a 5k runner, or it was a bad race. But most likely, he has been on EPO and it suddenly became unavailable.
It's a shame when ignorant people think they're clever.

It wasn't traumatic, it went by too quickly just when I'd finally figured things out. My best year was at 37.
However when you start missing whole years of competition as Kara is doing, you kind of have to subtract those years from the total.
I missed my entire 39 year old year to a severe injury unrelated to running and still made it back to my best at 40.
But those 4 years were still the blink of an eye.

Is that a positive result for her?
Let's hope not.

Uh-ohh, someone might want to check the race photos to see if we got us a course-kipper here.

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
