Don't go to RRS to buy them, either go straight through nike.com, or your local specialty running store.
RRS is just a big box store.
We got them in a week or two ago. The upper is really good, but they went overboard with the stability piece. Its placement is too far back and when I've brought it out people have complained about it feel uncomfortable even when standing.
The upper on these shoes is excellent. As far as the midsole goes, the lateral portion of the heel is mush, and yes you can feel the stability piece. It isn't uncomfortable standing, but it is noticeable. Running in it feels just fine, especially if you're a forefoot striker.

I tried them on, and was very disappointed with the "stability" piece. It felt like a rock on the inside of my foot at the back of the arch. Pegasus feels much better. But to each his or her own.

???
RRS *is* our "local specialty store". Plus I get 10-20% off with their discount program and a club discount.
They do seem to often lack color selection though.
Big Box = Dicks, Sports Authority, etc. SA actually has the good stuff in some stores and I'm not above going there if they have the size/color I'm after.
