I hate to be one of those persons who nitpicks spelling and grammar, but holy freakin' crap. "Valid Victorian"??? LOL. It took me a while to figure out what the hell you were talking about. Apparently your entire education has failed you, not just this teacher.
I do sympathize with your situation though. I personally think the requirements to become a teacher should be much higher (as should then salary), and inept and apathetic teachers should be axed rather quickly. I've seen several teachers now who do less work in an entire week than an honest working person does before 10:00am on Monday morning. It's terrible. Most are not like this at all, but it's a disgrace those who are are allowed to keep their job.
