OP nailed it.
Finance/business majors- not only are these completely easy and a waste of time for undergraduate (MBA is useful) but they are typically occupied by mediocre to poor student performers, who work very little, and expect huge rewards. Rampant cheating was well established at my school for the business majors, and this was correlated with fraternity culture as well.
Most of the kids came from very well to do out of state families and were conservative, considering themselves "entrepreneurs" while they had absolutely no practical skills, knowledge, or even effort of use to anyone. As far as women went, they were largely sociology and psych majors, also correlated with sorority culture, and had very little business being enrolled at a university, and usually marry the aforementioned douches.
Once coupled up, this pair tends to get a job related to business from their well connected families and then I assume they leech off and exploit other hard workers, as their fathers did before them, and their fathers before them.
