Can pool running cause groin tightness? I recently started pool running due to an injury and am experiencing some inner left groin pain/tightness when moving legs out and sitting down.

yes, because it's constant resistance from the water. Make sure you are doing more a high knee motion. I noticed if I actually exaggerated my running form while pool running I'd get groin tightness. So just lift the knees. I stretch and do the lunge matrix before as well.
Okay thanks for the info. You don't think this could be a possible sfx do you? I woke up with the tightness and it hurts to bend or stretch along the inside of my groin
a little bit, you need to ease into it. Make sure to stretch before an after, and after a while it will loosen up your legs when you're tight
No, not from pool running. I remember that groin tightness and I got it too from pool running. I had to do the high knee run, if I overstride it defn. comes back. Stretch, roll and such. If it gets bad I'd do every other day. I also noticed people pool run for hours. Maybe just do 30 minutes to an hour tops.
Ok thanks. I did just do an interval workout where I was "sprinting" and probably over strided bc the pain began there.
I got impressive cramps in my calves and feet regularly for a few days when I started pool running... both during the sessions and afterward. This coming off of 80 mile weeks with no soreness.
