Pre-NCAAs:
Stanford, Colorado Men and Women on Top Despite all the message board haters, the Stanford and Colorado men's and women's teams did what they usually do, run very well at very big meets, as each of the schools men's and women's teams won their races at the prenationals on Saturday and captured 3 of the 4 individual crowns with Alicia Craig, Ryan Hall and Renee Metevier picking up the wins. On the men's side, CU's Brent Vaughn didn't win but was a very close surprising 2nd to Matt Gonzalez of New Mexico State, as they Buffs were surprisingly strong up front even with the loss of Dathan Ritzenehein to the pro ranks.
Action most definitely speaks louder than words! And Colorado and Stanford said it all this weekend. It really doesn't matter what all those jealous, petty message board haters say about these two teams or Mark Wetmore because they walked away #1.
