awesome!! I knew that murdering asshat Chris Kyle was lying.
I know he won't do it, but I wish he'd take a run at the White House!
Jesse Ventura is a piece of sh1t. Suing the widow of an American hero is more proof of his lack of class.
Defamation lawsuits are bullshit that rich people use to get richer.
Great job Jesse.
Chris Kyle was a lying sack of human excrement. First he bragged about gunning down 10 year old Iraqis. Then he makes up stories about sucker punching Ventura in a bar, oh what a tough guy, hitting a dude 30 years older than you... Even the BAR OWNER said his story was pure BS, yet he put it in his book anyways. Hopefully Ventura can sue Hannity, and O'Reilly over on Fox for promoting that fairy tale 24/7.
Glad to hear it, guy lost his TV show and other work he was doing because of that story.
Looks like Kyle's lawyer screwed up agreeing to accept a non unanimous verdict.
I'm no lawyer but that seems idiotic. If someone is suing you for millions, why agree to a non-unamous verdict? If it was 9-1 for Ventura, Ventura still would have lost.
Douchebag. That lawsuit should have been thrown out. You don't get to sue someone's widow for something that the jerk, not the widow, did.
The major media is not commenting on this at all. Ventura was right. This was all made up.
Chris Kyle was a serial liar who just shot up a bunch of Iraqi kids to pile up his 'kill count', so a bunch of jingoistic morons could stroke off to his tall tales.
Haven't followed this case closely, but I've had some professional contact with Jesse's attorney, David Olsen, and I found him impressive.

He's smart enough to know that an out atheist couldn't be elected.

He sued the ESTATE....not the widow.
Thank You.

I'm not a lawyer either, and I would agree with you, but after reading the article it sounds like a 9-1 vote wouldn't be a loss for Ventura. It sounds like the trial would just continue on, possibly with a new jury.
A shallow victory for an insecure, small man who craves the attention he doesn't get anymore.
Great job Jesse! There was an active campaign by the Dems and Repubs to destroy that man anyway they could. He was basically run off of TV (His show had great ratings), and he was mocked on nearly every political TV and radio show there is over the bogus Chris Kyle incident.

It was worth the $1.8 mil to knock out that pos Ventura. That lying pos got knocked out and is going to be removed from the UDT/SEAL data base. Like he never existed. Ventura is the most hated man to have ever "served" with The Teams...Ventura was never a SEAL btw...UDT only.
Suprising. People don't realize how difficult it is to win a defamation suit and get damages as well.
It is possible to lie about people and get away with it and it's done all the time.
A plaintiff must:
a. prove a lie
b. prove the defendant knew he was lying (not a mistake)
c. must prove damages to business or personal life
