He had injury issues senior year, I recall, but ran some really, really good times (and doubles and triples) as a junior. Seems like he won 4 events at Arcadia or something crazy. So he hasn't totally come from nowhere, it's just that the senior year injury prevented him from moving into alltime great territory on the 100/200/100H and long hurdle lists.

He can go pro in track and keep his football eligibility right? That's what he should do.
I'm assuming he's already got a full-ride in football. But if he's not running for Oregon the football team may not let him do track.
