Well, it's no surprise -- she started out way too fast.

It wasn't just us, our very good friend Angela Tortorice also ran Irving, Number 3856, she seems to have missed all the mats but ended up with a time of 06:37:08, at least we did some of it!

Looks like the reason I didn't catch her was her average pace of 1:17 up to the 5.3 mile section, after which she was going too fast for the 9.2 mile mat to even register her, then an average of 3:56 minute miles up to 12.15m and she got to 21.7 miles in 2 hours 51 minutes. If only it hadn't taken just under 3 hours to complete the remaining 5 miles (finishing in 5:47), she could have had a PR...
Another question for the timing company and Irving RD, how did Holehan, Moayedi and Tortorice have gun times identical to their chip times? The only others to have this, or close to both, are the leading runners, which you would expect.
Good point - not one of them should have been anywhere near the starting line when the gun went off. This looks really fishy. My complete guess is they didn't trigger at the start line and that's the default time that goes in. Seems like they should have a great explanation or be DQ'd.
They'll have a great explanation. I'm sure they have already have one cooked up in their minds or have talked about it so all their stories are straight and the same.
Easiest thing in the world just to scroll down those Irving split results and notice the blank spots at various splits, took me a minute and there are some glaringly obvious ones there, Matt Henslee, 03:44:00 is a beauty. Come on RD's and timing companies, get your act together, people are paying good money for these things.

Good point on the chip / gun times.
Here we are lined up at the front just before the race started:

Matt's actually an acquaintance of mine and well known in the DFW running community as an incredibly good hearted man. I've run against him in various races. He's no cheater, I can assure you. Maybe he had malfunctioning chip. He had NO splits; much less suspicious to me than missing and erratic splits.

FMD here's another, they're all in it together.
Kevin Brosi, 06:23:38, gun time and chip time the same, all mats missed. Click on the blue box next to his name in the splits results and it brings up his previous mychiptime.com results, go to Irving 2014 split results and guess who he ran the entire race with, yep PM, so another one of her associates and another one of those joke Marathon Maniacs and IRan Marathon serial cheaters.
A quick Google search of his name brings up page 54, second post of this Cheating at Marathons thread, plus others.
I haven't dug any further on Brosi, but PM and her friends all seem to be still at it.
As if cheating your way wasn't enough, it looks like these jerks have a little let's-cheat-together club. Pathetic.

I don't know anything about this marathon, but perhaps they should lose their Boston qualifier status (if they have it) given all these shenanigans. Also, anyone go through the marathon photos to see if they are there/not there (similar to kip).

I checked that, the only photos they have of the ones in question are taken from the angle where they ran toward the finish line. Most of us have a lot more pictures in our albums as they had many photographers along the course.
For reference, photo website:

They're here:
http://www.movin-pictures.com/Bosi (3855) and Tortorice (3856) (note: consecutive numbers) both have photos in only one place. The dynamic duo, Moayedi (3898) and Holehan (3897) have gaps in theirs, just like their timing mats.
Moayedi and Holehan don't just have gaps, they only have photos of them in one place. Note the same woman in the high-vis top in the background of all of Moayedi's. That was the section leading to the finish line.
All four of them only have photos in the one place, which if you are correct, and I guess you are as you ran it, are "the section leading to the finish line".
If you randomly pick other runners who don't have timing mat gaps and punch in their numbers you'll find they have photos from various locations.
Yes, all four only have photos at the bridge which is about 50?yds from the finish line.

ones with gaps have few photos some have none at all and some look like they couldnot run the time the recorded
Looking at those pics it's hard to imagine her even running the 50 yards...
