thanks for the response RunnersFix, it's a little easier to take advice from people who I constantly see being successful. not that I think treadmills are useless, but I think there are simpler ways to achieve the same thing.
and yeah, I've been trying to get to higher mileage for a year or two. I certainly didn't plan on averaging just 65 last year having already ran the same average in 2013. but that's how it goes. I ran way more weeks over 75 last year than I did in 2013.
the issue with trying to raise mileage is that I'm close to graduating as an engineer and that is the #1 priority. I graduate next december, so I have ~9 weeks left this spring then another 12 weeks in the fall of college. I think I could definitely work on getting to bed earlier on average which will make waking up early to double easier. I know I need to start getting used to doubling more if I want to see the mileage go up. this summer I'll work about full time at an internship, but it will be hot weather so I'll definitely have to get up early to run.
and if anyone else has nothing better to do, my training is always on the road race training threads. i won't bug you guys here with my workouts unless i'm specifically asked for them
thanks again, and sorry to those who don't give a hoot about me and have to sift through my BS
